Learn More About Who We Are and What We Stand For.

OUR STORY

It started with two experienced real estate investors, David and Cynthia, who have shared values, belief in the Lord, and a mission to make the world a better place one apartment unit at a time. In 2017 they partnered together to create Trinity Real Estate Investment Group.

In 2021, to further bolster the acquisition systems and scale the portfolio, David and Cynthia decided to bring on a third business partner Chris who would head up the acquisition of new properties.

OUR STORY

It started with the dream of two experienced real estate investors, David and Cynthia, who merged together to create Trinity Real Estate Investment Group. Along with the addition a third business partner, Chris, it has now expanded to several employees, and is still growing.

TREIG now has a team of talented and skilled professionals who work closely with our Senior Investors. Through our conservative underwriting approach and thorough due diligence process, we seek to acquire properties that would bring strong investment return opportunities.

Our Non-Negotiable Values

We believe we will achieve outsized returns by selecting partners primarily (not exclusively) based on their character traits. Markets change, models change even faster, but the least flexible unit in the success equation is the people themselves, which is why we focus on picking the right people more than the right markets or models.

The "Big Four":

1) Unimpeachable Character:

Simple test: Would we be proud to associate ourselves and our brand with that of the entrepreneur's?

 

This extends past professional life but to the core of the person. We look for true alignment of thoughts, words, and actions towards a goal worth pursuing.

Nothing great can be built without feedback: internally or externally. True feedback only occurs when a person has the self-awareness to know what to communicate, the courage to give it from a place of kindness, and the humility to receive it, even when it hurts.

OUR TEAM

Cynthia Hurd

Head of Management

Cynthia has over 20 years of experience as a business owner, educator, and leader in her community as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the steering committee for Economic Development. With her expertise, Cynthia now runs the management and underwriting teams of Trinity Investment Group.

David Barry

Head of Investments

David has been a business owner for 27 years in the medical device industry. For 20+ years, David was the Head of Sales as he increased the revenue of the business by 10x.

Alongside this business, David has also invested in real estate for 20 years with investments ranging from single family, condos, and multifamily. His focus now lies on growing the MF portfolio of Trinity Investment Group.

Christopher Barry

Head of Acquisition

Chris boasts a successful track record in the online coaching space where he has helped coaches sell over $10M by building online acquisition systems and automations. Leveraging this experience, Chris is now focused on advancing Trinity Investment Group's property acquisition process.

Bryant Joshua Anulat

Acquisition Associate

For nearly a decade, Bryant has been working in the online space as a customer service rep, salesperson, and account manager. Taking that experience, Bryant is now an acquisition associate who receives properties and runs them through our initial underwriting process to determine if it is a property we would be interested in investing into.

Our Investment Strategy

Trinity Investment Group's strategy is to focus on the operation and enrichment of value-add properties, strategic acquisitions, and strengthening of multi-family communities mainly in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, and Utah. We are actively looking to expanding our investment opportunities to other surrounding states.

Investment Type: Value-add

Property Information

Property Size: 15-200 units

Year Built: 1980 and newer (open to older, but ideal is 1980+)

Property Price: $15 million and under

Price Per Unit: $100,000 or below

Ideal Property Type: B and C

Ideal Location: B and C, Secondary and Tertiary Markets

Occupancy Rate: 85% and above

No Section 8

No boiler chiller system (ideally but open to properties with it)

Financial Return Information

Ideal Cash on Cash Return: 8% +/yr and 15%+ on exit

Annualized Rate of Return (ARR): 18%+

Target Cap Rate: 6%+

Property Research

We conduct constant research through different realtors, brokers, advertising, and property management websites. We not only take notice of properties for sale, we also check out off-market properties that meet our investment criteria.

Financial Analysis

We'll specifically request for the property's current T12 when available, and complete Offering Memorandum in order to analyze the financials through a conservative underwriting process.
